Liminka Bay is one of the most important wetlands in Northern Europe, known for its vast open landscapes, rich birdlife and ever-changing coastal scenery. Here, nature is not dramatic — it is spacious, quiet and deeply grounding.
During this day, you will slow down and experience the northern coastal environment through guided outdoor activities and hands-on workshops inspired by local traditions.
Enjoy a relaxed guided walk in the Liminka Bay area, learning about the unique ecosystem, migratory birds and life by the Bothnian Bay. Along the way, your guide will share stories about the region’s cultural history and its close relationship with nature.
During the day, you will also try simple wilderness-inspired skills such as working with natural materials in a small handicraft workshop. Depending on the season and group preferences, the program can include light outdoor cooking, traditional Finnish baking, or other nature-based activities near the Visitor Centre.
This experience is not about rushing from one activity to another — it is about connection. The wide horizon, sea breeze and peaceful surroundings invite you to pause, breathe and rediscover the joy of simple, meaningful moments in nature.
Program includes: Activities as described above, services of our English speaking guides, coffee/tea and sweet pastry.
